Can pancakes draw you closer to the Lord?
You bet! If they are enjoyed with thanksgiving towards HIM!
That’s what I did as I enjoyed every delicious bite of those Clifton Mill buttermilk pancakes with the mango hot pepper peach syrup!
And of course this works with food in general. We even have verses for this:
“TASTE and see that the LORD is GOOD!”
“He satisfies our MOUTH with good things…”
In this way, virtually ANYTHING good can help build our love/worship relationship with Him!
Even BAD things can build our relationship with Him—if we use those things as contrasts highlighting His goodness and ultimate intention for us!
You already knew that. But we actually have to DO it to make it work! So make it a point to do this at your next yummy meal—for HIM and for you.
